Cricket Festival Event - SOS Children's Villages
During the festivity centering the ICC T20 World
Cup 2014 held in Bangladesh SOS Children's Villages in Bangladesh arranged "Cricket
Festival" program which extended attraction of world cup festivity among
The ICC T20 World Cup is the biggest sporting event in history of
Bangladesh with taking part of 16 men's and 10 women's teams. The 21 days WT20
2014 was started on 16 March and ended with winning of the world cup by Sri
Lanka in the final match against India on 06 April 2014.
Under the programme "Cricket Festival" friendly cricket matches,
cricket quiz competition and big screen to watch world cup matches arranged in
SOS Children's Villages.
In the friendly cricket match arranged in SOS
Children's Village Dhaka on 29 March 2014 between two teams from SOS Youth
Village Dhaka and SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka, the National Director of
SOS Bangladesh Mr. Ghulam Ahmed Ishaque was present as Chief Guest and
distributed winning crest to the winning team SOS Youth Village Dhaka and
individual prizes among all players. Among

Saiful Islam, Project Director, SOS Children’s Village Dhaka was present.
"We like to participate in such a competitive
match" says Swapan who was awarded with "player of the match"
crest for his outstanding all round performance. "I am also very happy because I am one
of the lucky boys in our Village who got chance to watch a WT20 2014 match
sitting in the stadium".
