SOS Children’s Village Ring of Honour Award Ceremony in Bangladesh

 

The SOS Ring of Honouris awarded to three mothers and one co-worker of SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh through a gorgeous programmeheld in SOS Children's Village Dhaka on 27 August 2013.  The Honorary President of SOS Children’s Villages International - Mr. Helmut Kutin along with Ms. ShubhaMurthi, Deputy Secretary General-Asia, SOS Children’s Villages International, handed over the Ring of Honour and certificate to those three mothers and co-worker in gratitude for and recognition of loyal service and great commitment to SOS Children’s Villages. The awarded co-workerand mothers are Dr. Md .Enamul Haque, Deputy National Director of SOS Bangladesh,Ms. Latika Rani Mondol, Mother ofHouse ”Dishari" ofSOS Children’s Village Dhaka, Ms. TahminaAkter, Mother,House"Hazrat Shah Amanat ®" and Ms. Hosneara Begum, Mother of House"Patali" of SOS Children’s Village Chittagong.

 

The programme was held in a festive mode with full of children, mothers and co-workers in the auditorium of the Village. In a short speech, Mr. Helmut Kutin paid his respect to the mothers and praised their role and commitment worldwide in SOS Children’s Villages.

 

The Deputy Secretary General, Ms. ShubhaMurthi, told a nice story to the children in the session that teach everybody about their responsibilities at a glance.   

 

“Our mothers are the part of our soul. They have widened their hands, opened their hearts and leaved their relaxation for keeping us well, healthy and cheerful. We feel proud when we see that our mothers are being honoured for their countless contribution and devotion to rear us up.” - Trisha Rahman was expressing her emotion in her address as children’s representative.

 

The Project Director of SOS Children’s Village Dhaka was giving a description about Latika Rani Mondol, one of the awarded mothers as follows: “Latika is the symbol of genuine and unparalleled Bengali mother from whom children can easily get love, affection and care.” 

 

“I am very happy with this reward. I think this award will make me more caring and responsible to my SOS family” - Latika was expressing her feelings with tears of joy. Welcoming the mother with flower bucket and big hug her child Mita expressed delightedly “My mother is the best mother in the world.”

 

Highlighting contribution of the awarded mothersTahmina and Hosneara,Project Director of SOS Children's Village Chittagong - Mr. Md. Faizul Kabir said "Tahminaand Hosneara managetheir families nicely and takeproper care of their children. They always try to keep their children neat and clean. They are energetic and sociable. They lovetheir children very much and the children also love them a lot.”

 

"As an SOS Co-worker, receiving the prestigious SOS Ring Award is something very special to me." - Dr. Enamul was expressing."It bears more responsibilities towards children as well towards the whole SOS family. I will try my best to continue to do full justice to this honour" he added.

The National Director of SOS Bangladesh, Mr. Ghulam Ahmed Ishaque, Project Directors of all SOS Children's Villages in Bangladesh, all members of National Management Team (NMT), all officials from National Office and children, mothers and co-workers of SOS Children’s Village Dhaka were present on that occasion. The Programme was ended with a colourful cultural function presented by the children of SOS Children’s Village Dhaka.
