Position: Deputy National Director

Mission of the Position: 

A senior-level managerial position responsible to ensure the effective delivery of programmes and services to children and youths, families and communities within the scope of organisation’s vision, mission, values and strategy.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Support the National Director in designing, leading and managing programmes to meet the organisation’s aims, goals objectives and to ensure that values are intact and policies are adhered.
  • Monitor programme data including project budgets to ensure all expenditures comply with the donor’s policies and regulations.
  • Assess assigned programme locations’ opportunities and challenges. Accordingly, interact with concerned stakeholders for programme sustainability and development.  
  • Guide the Project/ Village Directors in the formulation and implementation of agreed work plans successfully at the project level.
  • Collaborate with the National Directors in the areas of strategic planning, administration and human resources.
  • Do regular project visits to ensure implementation of agreed plans and policies.
  • Promote long-term stability and financial self-sufficiency by pursuing support from government and private sources to maximise the fundraising potential.
  • Supports the development and implementation of sustainable fundraising strategies and grant applications. 
  • Accountable for the capacity building and performance of Institutional Partnership Development team and others as assigned.
  • Adapt to changes and provide support to the National Director to make necessary adjustments in the programme actions as needed.
  • Ensure safe programming and address any potential risks in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to organisation standards and regulations such as the Code of Conduct, Child & Youth Safeguarding, Sexual Misconduct Regulation (PSHEA) or any other policies/ regulations as introduced from time to time.

Educational Qualification, Experience & Other Requirement: 

  • Post Graduate degree in any discipline with not less than 2nd division/class in any public examination.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience, with at least 8 years of experience at the senior management level in the development sector/NGO/INGO, or government agencies.
  • Track record of delivering excellent results in leadership roles and commanding respect.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation; ability to produce and disseminate high-quality programme narratives.
  • Have knowledge of child rights & and protection issues and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
  • Age limit: Minimum 40 years.

Position: Officer- Corporate Fundraising, Fund Development and Communications.

Location of Job: Chattogram

Nature of Job: Contractual (initially for 1 year) 

Area of Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate fundraising strategy for SOS Bangladesh through detailed donor mapping, competitor analysis, and research, ensuring seamless fundraising operations.
  • Collaborate closely with CSR/sustainability teams, foundations, multinational corporations (MNCs), High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), local government bodies, and major donors to meet annual fundraising targets.
  • Craft compelling fundraising proposals and comprehensive reports tailored to the specific requirements of donors.
  • Organize corporate meetings, facilitate donor visits, and orchestrate corporate fundraising events to foster engagement and support.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to both retain existing donors and acquire new supporters. Ensure high-quality interactions with corporations/organizations before, during, and after donations are received.
  • Oversee volunteering activities and manage employee-giving campaigns for small groups and individual donors.
  • Coordinate with the Program Development team to create project proposals, handle grant applications, and provide comprehensive project reporting.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive donor database, generate insightful reports, and create engaging presentations for various stakeholders.
  • Safeguard critical documents and maintain records in accordance with established protocols. Adhere to the organization's Child & Youth Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct to safeguard its reputation.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by higher authorities to ensure the smooth functioning of the unit.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in relevant fields.
  • Master's degree from reputed university.
  • Capacity to write persuasive fundraising proposals with a proven track record.
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive attitude, a collaborative team player, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Preference will be given to the candidates from Chattogram.

SOS Children's Village International in Bangladesh (www.sos-bangladesh.org) SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh is a non-governmental social development organisation which supports disadvantaged families to care for their children, and when children can no longer live with their own families, quality alternative care is provided through Family Like Care. It is an alternative care option where one or more professional caregivers provide care in largely autonomous small groups of children in a setting that is specifically created for this purpose and resembles a family environment. Family-like care is a distinct alternative care option and also recognised by the UN Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children. SOS work is guided by the UN Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children and is in the framework of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Title of the Consultancy: Digital Transformation Project Phase-II

Background:

The project aims to establish automation capabilities, customize Zoho CRM, migrate data from Salesforce, integrate third-party tools, automate workflows, and ensure data security.

The Service Provider agrees to provide consulting services to the Client for a period of 6 months starting from July 2024 to December 2024

The services to be provided include but are not limited to the following list of deliverables:

  • Donation/Payment Infrastructure: Proposed project for implementing a dedicated donation/payment infrastructure to improve conversion rates and donor experience. The project aims to design a donation flow based on global standards, provide multiple donation widgets, enable real-time conversion tracking and CRM updates, and create a dedicated workflow for cart abandonment. The infrastructure should be highly configurable and require no developer dependency.
  • WhatsApp Marketing: The proposed WhatsApp Marketing project aims to leverage donor data for personalized messages, send dynamic campaigns, trigger targeted messages based on donor actions, and provide in-depth reports for data-driven decision-making. The project also includes rich campaign styling and scheduling targeted campaigns for different donor segments.
  • Donor Reactivation Journey: The proposed Donor Reactivation Journey project aims to create a dedicated reactivation journey for donors using Email, Calling, and WhatsApp. It also includes a strategically designed journey from sporadic to committed donors, as well as LTV and behavior-based dynamic segmentation.
  • Modular Landing Page System Proposed project for a modular landing page system in the Digital Fundraising department. The project aims to create easy-to-configure landing pages, optimize paid traffic conversion, track end-to-end funnels, enable quick campaign setup, enhance branding and user experience, improve speed and performance, integrate with Zoho applications, implement a dedicated workflow for cart abandonment, and enhance donor experience with a new donation widget infrastructure.
  • Tele-calling Automation: Tele-calling automation project for the Digital Fundraising and Donor Service teams. The project includes features such as auto call logging, recording with AI summary and sentiment analysis, outbound call broadcast using IVRS, workflow-based calling, increased calling per agent, and accurate call insights.
  • Knowledge Base & Self-Service:The proposed project aims to set up a knowledge base, FAQ, and article system for a self-service answer bot. The project outcomes include 24/7 support through the chatbot, quick and accurate answers to FAQs, a multilevel categorization system for efficient content retrieval, tracking of unanswered questions, and related resource suggestions. The tasks for the project are not mentioned in the document.
  • Google Analytics: This project aims to improve tracking of user actions, configure Google Analytics 4 to analyze the user journey and optimize the donation form, and track the performance of conversion funnels for fundraising campaigns.
  • KPI Dashboard to Track all modes of Donations, Marketing Channel ROI and Tele-calling Sales & Reactivation efficiency: KPI dashboard project to track donations, marketing channel ROI, and sales and reactivation efficiency. The project aims to create a centralized window for data from Zoho Apps and 3rd party applications, as well as custom-built KPI dashboards for team and organizational reporting.
  • Corporate Fundraising on Zoho CRM: Similar to Digital fundraising setup on CRM we aim to have our entire corporate fundraising data and operation move to Zoho CRM as well. 
  • Google Tag Manager Configuration: Google Tag Manager simplifies the management of tracking tags and pixels, allowing for easier maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting. It enables quick addition or modification of tracking pixels without developer involvement, asynchronously loads scripts for faster page load times, and provides preview and debugging features. It also offers pre-built tag templates, customizable access levels, and version control. Marketers and analysts can implement tags and updates with minimal developer resources.

Consultant Profile and Qualification:

  • Expert in Zoho CRM configuration
  • Good understanding on NGOs for Fundraising related knowledge.
  • Experience on Zoho CRM project implementation for non-profit

Terms and conditions:

  • SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal without giving any verbal and or written rationale or whatsoever.

  • Before payment, SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh may review the outcomes of the work.
  • Failure of delivering outputs before the set deadlines may result payment rejection or penalties. However, any delay of project submission (beyond timeline), project should be completed with additional time.

Payment Procedure:

  • Payment will be disbursed in six installment based on the satisfactory completion of the project deliverables through bank transfer/Credit cards.
  • Consultant will get the payment if the deliverable fulfill the required quality mentioned in the ToR.

Note: Tax and VAT will be deducted at source from the bills payable to the selected firm/individual. According the Bangladesh Tax and VAT rules.

  • Ensure preparation of Annual Plan, Programme Proposal, and Budget according to the National Plan.
  • Contribute to the development of the children’s village plan and guide Village Directors in policy making activities.
  • Work in a team spirit emphasizing on high-level performance, creative approaches, adaptive feedback and achievement of project goals in a cooperative and collegial atmosphere.
  • Ensure agreed work plans are successfully implemented at the project level.

Educational Qualification, Experience & Other Requirement:

  • Post Graduate degree in any discipline with not less than 2nd division/class in any public examination.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience, with at least 8 years of experience at the senior management level in the development sector/NGO/INGO, or government agencies.
  • Track record of delivering excellent results in leadership roles and commanding respect.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation; ability to produce and disseminate high-quality program narratives.
  • Have knowledge of child rights & and protection issues and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
  • Age limit: Minimum 40 years.

Position: Assistant Officer, Accounts

Location of Job: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Khulna, Bogura and Chattogram.

Nature of Job: Full time

Area of Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle petty Cash, Cheque & Bank transaction and maintain register.
  • Prepare Bank Book, Cash Book and Voucher from D365 Finance Software.
  • Prepare monthly payroll, pay slip and disburse salary & allowances to the co-workers.
  • Prepare documents related to applicable VAT & Tax deduction and ensure deposit the same to the Govt. Exchequer.
  • Maintain all kinds of official Register.
  • Support purchase & sale committee in VAT/TAX related issues & preparing comparative statement.
  • Prepare Reports/Documents for Govt. Compliances & External Auditors.

Educational Requirements & Experience:

  • Post-graduate in Commerce from a Govt. recognized University.
  • At least 2nd Division / Class in all public examinations.
  • Working experience with Accounting Software will be preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications especially in MS. Execl.
  • Good communication skills, proactive, team player and capability to work under pressure.

Area of Responsibilities:

  • Preparing annual development plan of every individual child by discussing with the child and mother, recording it, follow-up, reviewing once in a year. 
  • To innovate ideas and learning environment on different aspects according to needs and considering situation of changing of everyday lives.
  • Plan and implement a suitable program to ensure good quality child and youth development and to meet the needs of all children, utilizing clear and concise routines, rules and limits.
  • Contact and maintain liaison on regular basis with schools/other educational institutions. Regularly update and promptly submit children/youths’ school records and monthly highlights of activities to the Director.
  • Encourage children to enrol into employable education & find out suitable technical courses and support child development activities to promote life skills & develop leadership qualities and healthy recreations for the children.
  • Maintain close communication with the supervisor on the development and progress of each child.
  • Writing reports (international standard) on the development of the children & youths, different programme activities, events, case study and success stories as per the requirement of the organisation.
  • Strong support to management & children to establish child rights.
  • Adherence to the Child Safeguarding Policy & Code of Conduct and Sexual Misconduct Regulation (PSHEA) of the organization.

Educational Requirements & Experience:

  • Graduation Degree in Psychology/Child Development and Family Relation/ Social Work/Social Welfare/Social Science, not less than 2nd Division/Class in any Public Examination.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong command in English report writing and presentation.
  • High interpersonal skills and coordination skills.
  • Strong interest in the needs and development of the children.
