SOS Children’s Village Sylhet, the sixth SOS Village in Bangladesh, is located in Dayamir, Osmaninagar Upazila, within the scenic Sylhet district. Just 23 kilometers from Sylhet city, the Village is conveniently close to the Dhaka–Sylhet National Highway, ensuring easy access. It is well-connected to Sylhet Railway Station (21 km away) and M.A.G. Osmani International Airport (36 km away), making it accessible by both road and air.
Nestled in the northeastern region of Bangladesh, Sylhet is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty — rolling hills, vast tea gardens, pristine swamplands, rainforests, and sparkling rivers. The region’s iconic waterfalls, evergreen tea estates, crystal-clear rivers, and lush rainforests draw visitors throughout the year, earning it a special place in the hearts of nature lovers.
Established in 2011 on five acres of land, SOS Children’s Village Sylhet offers a loving, secure home to 100 children. The Village includes 14 family houses, a community house, community centre, co-workers’ residences, and a social center, all designed to provide a nurturing environment where children can thrive.
In addition, a dedicated family house is available for short-term care, offering immediate support to children in urgent need.
With a strong foundation in family-based care, SOS Children’s Village Sylhet continues to ensure that every child grows up with love, dignity, and the opportunity to build a bright future.
