SOS Children's Village Sylhet is situated at Dayamir of Osmaninagar Upazila in Sylhet district. This is the sixth SOS Children's Village in Bangladesh. It is located at 23 kilometers away from Sylhet city and very closed to the Dhaka-Sylhet national highway. Sylhet railway station is about 21 kilometers far away from the place and well connected with M.A.G. Osmani International Airport, Sylhet that is 36 kilometers away. Sylhet is the northeastern division of Bangladesh which landscape filled with the mild hills, tea gardens, swamplands, rain forests and many hilly rivers. Waterfall, evergreen tea plantations, crystal blue rivers and rain forests attract tourist round the year.

SOS Children's Village Sylhet was established in the year 2011 on five acres of land. It is a loving home for 140 children. The Village has 14 family houses, community house, community centre, co-workers' residence, social center etc. Moreover, one family house is ready for short-term care for children in immediate needs. Biological children of SOS mothers and aunts are also getting shelter and supports from SOS since 2017.

Through the Family Strengthening and Kinship Care programme, SOS Children's Village Sylhet is providing services to vulnerable children and families of the neighboring community to strengthen their capacity and make them financial self-sufficiency.

A Computer Learning Centre is operating in the premises of children’s village and offering courses to the children of SOS Family Care (SFC) and Family Strengthening Programme (FSP). The aim of this center is to ripen the children’s individual skills and prepare them for new era.

An Early Childhood Care Development Centre (ECCD) is functioning in the premises of SOS Children’s Village with full financial support of Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd. (HSBC).
